MEET THE TEAM

Graham Strange has been building furniture and kitchen cabinetry for over 40 years. In 1983, he and wife Barb started their own cabinetmaking company that is today known as Tauranga Kitchens. For more than three decades Graham and his loyal team of craftsmen have been creating, delivering and installing beautiful kitchens and bespoke cabinetry to delighted clients all over the Bay of Plenty.

Graham – Owner

Graham has been a cabinet maker all his life. Graham loves to solve a problem and is passionate about the creativity and artistry that goes into each and every piece that leaves his factory to be delivered to his customers. An early riser and keen fisherman, Graham often hops in his kayak and heads out at dawn, from the beach at Papamoa to catch fresh snapper for breakfast.

Barbara – Owner

Barbara has been involved in Tauranga Kitchens from day one. She takes care of the marketing, management of the day to day business direction and is on hand for anything that needs doing – she and Graham and their chooks live next door to the factory!

Aidan - Cabinetmaker

Aidan has been with the company for 12 years and has cabinet-making in his blood – his Dad was a cabinetmaker. Aidan loves to repair and restore and has wide-ranging talents. He is a keen fisherman and kayaker.

Cameron - Cabinetmaker

Cameron joined Tauranga Kitchen straight from college 13 years ago. He served out his apprenticeship with Graham. A great listener, he is often the guy carrying out the on-site consultation work. Much of his work is in high-end and he is a master craftsman. In his spare time, he’s at the gym or fishing from his kayak.

Lilian – Receptionist & Customer-Care Manager

Lilian has been with the company for 24 years as the receptionist, accounts administrator and customer-care manager. She is the smiling face that welcomes you to Tauranga Kitchens showroom. She can help you with selecting your materials and will be the person who prepares your quotes and tracks the project through to completion. She is a passionate gardener.

Melissa – Office Administrator

Melissa supports the team helping out Lilian with the day to day office administration. After living on Norfolk Island for the past 22 years she and her husband and four boys are loving being back in New Zealand. She enjoys getting out and exploring the country with her family.

Colin – Factory Cleaning and Maintenance

Colin keeps the whole team on the straight and narrow, cleaning up the inevitable dust and debris that is part and parcel of a busy kitchen building factory. He is always aware of the environment and keeps our workspace tidy and healthy for us so we can operate efficiently.

TESTIMONIALS

We have just replaced our bench tops in our kitchen because of water damage leaking between a join in the water proof laminate.
We originally had rolled edges which meant we had to have a join in the laminate. We engaged the services of Graham Strange Cabinetmakers to replace the bench top.

When Aiden came to measure up for the replacement bench top he recommended that we use an acrylic square edge on the bench tops.  As a result we now have a bench top with no joins in the wet area. We are very happy with Aiden’s suggestion and also with the speed and standard of workmanship through to installation.

We have used the services of Graham Strange Cabinetmakers a total of six times for different projects over the last 20 years.  We have found Graham and his team to be very helpful and obliging during the projects and are extremely happy with the work they have provided for us.
